NATHAN BLAKE HAIR
My work has been seen in the following:
NATHAN BLAKE HARRISON
I remember as a three year old boy going to my sister's room and playing with her Barbie's hair. I could not have cared less about Barbie, but her hair on the other hand, that was another story!
My obsession with hair grew and I began gravitating to anyone or anything with long hair. My great uncle had a horse that lived across the road from my Grandparent's house, and every Saturday I would go and work on her hair. My cousin started coming with me and one of us would take the tail, the other the mane. Our very patient horse passed away, but she left this earth with straight bangs, long layers, and a cut off tail to her knees...lol Definitely the most fashionable horse in Virginia!
It was during those same years as a twelve and thirteen year old boy that I began growing interested in fashion. I was especially intrigued with vintage fashion and how it played a roll in our modern day society. I began rummaging through my Grandpa's clothes and finding some of the coolest pieces.
My Grandma would take me shopping every year right before my birthday, and as we were out shopping for my thirteenth birthday, I was approached with my first modeling job. That was it, I had been bitten by the fashion bug and there was no cure! My world hasn't been the same since.
I knew I wanted cosmetology and fashion to be my career, but as I grew older, I became equally as passionate about business. At seventeen years old I moved to Hot Springs, AR, and enrolled into Champion Christian College. After three years of hard work I graduated Magna Cume Laude with my Bachelor's in Business Administration.
After completing my business degree I enrolled into a small beauty school where I happened to meet my AMAZING educator, Peggy Haynes. This energetic woman with a platinum blonde asymmertrical cut changed my life. I could not wait to wake up every morning and go to school. I still feel the same way about waking up and going to work. Sometimes I have to stop and pinch myself. I get to wake up every morning knowing I get to do something I love!
Now, I am a published artist, master stylist at two salons in two different cities, I am in the process of launching my own brand, I have purchased a studio space to begin using as my hair lab, and I am just getting started! God has been good!
